From neighborhood newby to community Pastor
Lee DeMatos, what can we say? He's a good guy going after God. A Christain for ten years now, his testimony includes his marriage being restored, and overcoming many personal struggles. Lee has become a true Man of God on an ongoing uphill walk. But like all of us, it has its ups and downs, so his perpective is one that is pretty relatable. When it comes to applying the Bible to our everyday lives, he always has great wisdom and word from the Lord. He also welcomes a word from his friends, it's an always growing relationship between Pastor and congregation. He's our guy, and his knowledge, friendship, and leadership is a blessing everyday.... or as Lee would see "Ya Hoo!"

Of course, Lee is not complete without his wife Teresa. Teresa is a prayer warrior and strong partner in the mininstry of ILCC. After giving her heart and her marriage to the Lord,  Teresa became a new person. A woman walking in the light, quickly her husband followed. As a couple and parents Lee and Teresa are role models in the community. As Pastors they have complimenting strengths, which brings forth the goodness of the Lord.

Lee and Teresa Dematos seek wisdom from the Lord, many friends and elders, and are ordained Pastors through Dove Christian Fellowship International.

To get in touch with Lee and Teresa, email them at leefireofgod@gmail.com.

Past Notes from Pastor Lee
June 10, 2011 Good day my friends,
The Lord is Good and Great to be praised !  We are so
thankful for all that the Lord has done ! Lately we have seen such favor and provision. The Lord is providing for the needs of our church family.
A new washer and dryer was donated to the church, and this fullfilled a need desparately for our intern
Melissa. A brand new bike was also donated to the church, and we were excited to see it go to a family with an 8 year old boy, a friend of Stacy (one of our gals). When Stacy brought the bike to the little boy, he was thrilled. He immediately told his mom, (who struggles with her belief)  "See Mom , God does answers prayers!" 'Turns our the little boy had been praying for a new bike, and Stacy, a non-family member brings him one from the Lord. What a cool testimony for that family! God meets us in some very real ways and all we are to do is be thankfull and tell others about it. That's right, give God the credit and tell others what HE has done.

We are excited to have Gram Jones back with us tonight, Sat night the 11th. Gram has some real gifts, through the holy spirit, for healing, restoration, and salvation. Come and bring your friends! He is an amazing speaker and amazing Man of God. http://www.gjmi.org/index1.html
Next week  June 18, we are having a Water  Baptism Service, here at the church. So bring those that want to be baptized, your friends and neighbors, Christian or not....let's celebrate with the folks getting baptized. These individulas have decided to take a big step in thier faith, through Baptism, starting anew! It will be a great time. We will gather around 5pm and we have several other churches joing us. Calvary Worship Center in Holden, Freedom Worship Center in West Boylston and our very own Indian Lake Community Church. It's goint to be awsome !! We'll have a Triumph afterwards  (Great Party)!!  Please bring a desert, small salad or a side dish.

Hope to see you all soon,

Love you all - Pastor Lee

Good Day All,
It is my pleasure to announce that “GOD IS GREAT !”
We had a terrific time in His presence Sat. Night. Worshiping Jesus in song , clapping and dancing in HIS marvelous presence. YAH HOO! We’re finishing up the book of James in ch.5 Vs. 13- 18. I’ll give you a quick recap: Jam 5:13  Does anyone suffer ill among you? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him praise in song. This tells us that we should come along side one another in all circumstances.
Jam 5:14  Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. When the sick come to the elders they are understanding the power or submitting to authority (see Matt.8:5-10) The anointing of oil represents the works and power of the person of the Holy Spirit.
Jam 5:15  And the prayer of faithful will cure the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him. Praying in faith in the name of the Lord: See(John 14 12-14)
Jam 5:16  Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous one avails much. Confessing our sin: (1 John 1:8&9)

We then had an opportunity to put that into practice and pray for one another and WOW, did the Lord move.
Jamie Dillon had an awesome observation and revelation from the Lord that I’d like her to share.

" Hey everyone... Jaime here... I just saw some wonderful things happening on Saturday. Some spoke of troubles, and struggles a bit. I saw folks praying for one another for healing, with freedom and energy. There was an annointing and a calming in the church. Then, throughout the night I would see friends sharing and donating food with each other, sharing needed clothing, talking of helping each other with giving of household items, etc... really feeding each other and providing for one another after praying together. We eat together - of the lords spiritual provision and our daily needs as well. Then the Lord showed me this scripture:

Acts 4:29-34 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”  31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.  32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them."

Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you for an exciting time with the Lord this Wed. at 7:00PM and Sat. at 6:00PM, so don’t miss it!!  If you’d like to come for dinner Wed, please call Teresa before 6pm (508-736-6463) and come early (6:30) for pizza. (There is a $5.00 donation if you want pizza)  Also, please feel free to bring munchies or a desert for some fellowship time afterwards both days.
We Love you,

Good Day to All!
How are you? Blessed, highly favored and
deeply loved by our Heavenly Father?  YES!! You are!!
Here are Sat. and Wed. praise reports:

Sat. night was great!! The Lords‘presence was very strong through our time of worshipping Him and the word.  We are continuing in James 4:11-17. The reoccurring presences in those scriptures are the words that we speak. (11) Do not speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against his brother, and who judges his brother, speaks against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law, but a judge. (12)There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you who judges another?(13)  Come now, those saying, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and spend a year there, and we will trade and will make a profit,(14)  who do not know of the morrow. For what is your life? For it is a vapor, which appears for a little time, and then disappears.(15)  Instead of you saying, If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.(16) But now you boast in your presumptions. All such boasting is evil. (17)  Therefore to him who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin. What comes out of our mouths can be a blessing or sin. The issue is that our words come from our heart. We took some time Sat. to let the Lord work on the issues of our hearts and bring healing to those areas. Also we asked Him to reveal to us those that we need to release forgiveness to. It was amazing!!

This Wed. we started Steps to freedom in Christ by Neil Anderson.  It was a very powerful time as we took an inventory of our own personal history. (It really stirred up questions and emotions as we looked at our past)  It may seem like we don’t want to deal with this now but we are already dealing with it by putting up walls or dealing with spiritual issues stemming from our past. It’s not the steps that set you free but “JESUS.”  For those that want the scriptures mentioned in the intro. Here they are. Romans3:23 All fallen short.  1 John 5:19 ruler of this world… 1John 3:8 Jesus came to undo the works… 2 Corinth. 5:17 We are a new creation. John 1:12 We’re given the right to be His children…  1John 3:1 How great the Love.. Eph 2:8-9 For grace you have been saved… Romans 8:35 Nothing can separate you… Romans 8:16 The Holy Spirit lives in you… Eph.1:13 sealed with a promise… John 16:13 Holy spirit will guide you…  Eph2:1 Born into sin….Romans 12:2 Transformed by the renewing of your mind…Romans 12:2 test Gods’ will… James 4:7 the devil will flee…2 Tim2:24-26 Knowledge and truth from The Counselor…Prov. 28:13 Confess and renounce… 2Cor.4:1-2 do not loose heart…

We covered a lot of material this week so feel free to look these up at will. Steps to Freedom in Christ by Neil Anderson. This teaching is to address spiritual issues that we all have connected to our life before knowing God.

Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you this Sat. at 6:00 PM. And Wed at 7:00. If you’d like to come for dinner Wed, please call Teresa before 6pm (508-736-6463) and come early (6:30) for pizza. (There is a $5.00 donation if you want pizza) Also, please feel free to bring munchies or a desert for some fellowship time afterwards both days.
We Love you,  Lee & Teresa DeMatos

Hello My Fiends,

This is the day that the Lord Has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!! We just finished a amazing evening with Pastor Precol Charles and his wife Amante, From Haiti. They shared about the tough economic times in Haiti and the recent salvations that have been happening since the earth quake. Precol and his wife work in the US as fruit pickers. They come to earn about 7 dollars per hour each to help support their family and church back at home. When we need something, we run to the store and get it. In Haiti they aren’t able to get things at the store due to lack of finances.

They plant corn or beans and wait 3 months for the harvest. They are proposing micro loans to start micro businesses.  This would allow his congregation to start lucrative businesses, support them selves and others. We also discovered that the difference between them coming here to wrok and staying home in Haiti was around 5 or 6 hundred dollars. We as a body were challenge by a member that he would match our corporate giving up to 500$. Wow, Count me in!!  4 years ago , I sat and prayed with Pastor Precol about God bringing in the $ for him to stay home and pastor his 150 member church, over see 119 students at his school , father 6 of 7 children at home ,and if that’s not enough feed 50 orphans every day. Brother, we’re in!!  Go has done so many miracles this past week it’s getting hard to keep track of.  Chris and Marybeth are pregnant, Ben healed a girl at school, I healed a girl in a restaurant, Lindsey got a job, Precol got financed, our motor home is going on a mission trip with some US missionaries. I can barely keep track. Hallelujah JESUS !!  TO GOD be all the glory!!

We are also looking forward to seeing you next Wed. night at 7PM. Please call Teresa (508-736-6463) by 6PM. if you would like pizza. Also feel free to bring munchies of any kind for a time of fellowship afterwards. Words cannot express how much we love you and appreciate you.

Love,

Pastors Lee & Teresa DeMatos

A Note from Pastor Lee: 8-8-10
Hello Friends in Christ, How in the Lord are you? Thank God for such a time as this that we get to live in. I’m so blessed to be part of what Jesus is doing in this day and age. Last  Wed. night was great!! We had a time of testimonies of what God has been doing in our hearts and lives over the past 6-8 weeks as we’ve studied relationships, forgiveness and emotional healing. Each testimony was huge, from forgiveness released over 15-20 year spans of things to, experiencing peace for the first time ever. I am so blessed to be involved with each of you and the work that the Lord’s doing in our lives!!

Our next quest ,as the Lord has been leading, is to dive into spiritual healing and freedom. We began by looking at a passage from Matt.9:27-39. We see hear a lot about the Kingdom of God not only explained by Jesus but demonstrated as well. The kingdom is expanded past Jesus into us as HE asks the blind men: “ do you believe?” This transfers the Kingdom of God from the heavenly realm to the earthly when Jesus challenges the faith of the blind. When faith is connected with a touch from Jesus, heaven invades earth. That’s when HIS fame is spread. We want to see people come to know Jesus.  The harvest as in Matt. 9-37, is what we get to bring in. We’ll be studying much more of that in our own lives as we move forward over the next couple of weeks.

The picnic and baptismal service Saturday with Calvary and Anchor of Hope ( The Garage) was great!! We had so much fun playing sports, eating and swimming together. The greatest time however, was in the presence of the Lord during the baptism. There were several people that got baptized from the 3 different Dove churches.  All  that attended were blessed. Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you this Wed. at 7:00 PM. and Saturday at 6:00PM. If you’d like to come for dinner Wed, please call Teresa before 6pm (508-736-6463) and come early (6:30) for pizza and fellowship. (There is a $5.00 donation if you want pizza)
Also, please feel free to bring munchies or a desert for some fellowship time afterwards both days.

8/1/2010 - Hello My Friends,
What a wonderful week we’ve had in the Lord. Wed. night meeting , Thursday night worship practice, Friday morning pastors prayer gathering, Friday night New England DOVE pastors dinner gathering, Pastor’s Jim and Beth Galvin for and overnight Friday Night at our home and Saturday night with the Lord and many of you!!   WOW, what an action packed week. YAH HOO !!

The Friday morning Pastors prayer time is a gathering of local pastors to pray for each other, our churches and our cities. So far there are 6 of us coming and we welcome more. Please contact me if you know of a pastor, priest or minister that may be interested in joining us for a time of prayer. We meet the 1st, 3rd, and 5th  Fridays (if there is a 5th) of every month from 6-8 AM. at I.L.L.C. The Dove meeting with our colleagues, 13 of 20, from New England was wonderful. The majority had only praise reports to share about God moving in their Churches, Families, and communities.

Saturday night’s service was amazing. It started with Lindsey Pepin leading us in an exciting and intimate time in the presence of the Lord. We then moved out to the deck for the word. James 2:1-13 speaks to us about partiality or favoritism. The author James, uses rich and poor as the example, however the Lord challenged us with using the righteous and the lost. We are reminded that we are to love thy neighbor in vs. 8 and in vs.9 to not show favoritism.

I posed a question about the severity of different kinds of sin. What is a bad sin and what is a not so bad sin. Like murder would rank up there above envy.
It poses a challenge to all of us to love the sinner and not the sin. The difficulty is to not identify the person by the sin. If I was to be labeled before I became a Christian, I was a lying, cheating, drug using alcoholic that was violent, opinionated and head strong.  Would you have had me over for dinner?

It just really challenged all of us to see the potential that the Lord sees in others, while they are still yet sinners. We all easily recalled the name of the person that first shared Jesus with us and the state we were in then.  Then we said the names of the people that we are going to reach out to and prayed for them, that that someday, they might be saying our name as the one that led them to Jesus.

A special thanks this week to Jamie Dillon for a great job on our web sight as it’s still a place where people are drawn by the Lord, to check out our church. Thank you also Lindsey Pepin for instigating the Thursday night arts night (7pm – 9pm) and all who participated. A great success in its first week, and we’re expecting a continuation of that on Thursdays from now on. (Please contact us if you would like to be notified of and schedule changes for Thursday Arts Night.)

Next Saturday’s Service is going to be combined with Calvary Worship Centers annual summer picnic and baptism from 9:00am-5:00PM at: Fairwoods Camp 116 west Hartford Ave Uxbridge MA. 01569
I’ll email directions later this week. Please contact me if you or someone you know would like to be baptized.
Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you this Wed. at 7:00 PM. and Saturday at 6:00PM. If you’d like to come for dinner Wed, please call Teresa before 6pm (508-736-6463) and come early (6:30) for pizza and fellowship. (There is a $5.00 donation if you want pizza)  Also, please feel free to bring munchies or a desert for some fellowship time afterwards both days.

Hello My Friends,
I pray that this note finds you well. Things are great here at Indian Lake Community Church.  First of all I must give praise to Jesus for healing my knee. The Lord heard and answered your prayers and my thanks to all of you for praying for my speedy recovery.

We had a great time in the Lord this Wed. night with Mike and Lisa Mooradian opening up the word of God to us. As you know, we started with a bible study with the book, Hearing God 30 Ways.

That study led us to a study on relationships, some time was spent on conflict resolution followed by forgiveness. The Lord has orchestrated each one of these teachings consecutively, to prepare us for forgiveness and inner healing. Jesus says while teaching in the Temple (Luke 4:16-21) early on in His ministry that he is the fulfillment on the prophecy of  Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; One of HIS purposes is to “set us free.”

A few other scriptures we discussed were:

Mat 5:4  Blessed are the ones mourning! For they shall be comforted.

Psa 147:3  He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their sorrows.

Isa 53:5  But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed. As well as the story of the “Good Samaritan” LK 10:30

As we can see from these verses that God wants us to set free so much that HE sent Jesus, HIS only Son to pay the price for all of that healing and forgiveness. God is in the restoration business. He sent Jesus to us that we might come to HIM by way of salvation, and be healed also. That healing is physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Thanks also to Cory Scott for volunteering and Bob Benoit for demonstrating inner healing and forgiveness as a practical application. We did do and exercise as a group for inner healing however some times when you’re first getting started a little coaching is necessary. Please feel free to give one of us a call as we would love to help in any way that we can. Teresa and I, Bob and Lisa Benoit, Mike and Lisa Mooradian’s, phone #s are readily available. Mine is 508-736-6310. I can get you in touch with the others.

Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you this Saturday at 6:00 Pm and Wed. at 7:00 PM.

We Love you,

Hello My Fiends,
This is the day that the Lord Has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!!

Wow it’s been almost two weeks since we’ve talked and there’s much to talk about. First of all thank you all who have prayed for my recovery. The Lord is faithful, and my healing is going well. If you didn’t know, I fell at work and stuck a metal pipe into my knee-cap. Ouch !! I have very good range of motion and can bear full weight on it. THANK YOU JESUS!

Last Saturday night, Pastor Jim Galvin preached a powerful message on being doers of the word and not hearers only. (James 1:22-24). Pastor Jim has a way of getting a message across with practical real life stories, that are funny and to heart.  Thanks Pastor Jim for sharing with us at such a busy time in you and Pastor Beth’s lives.

Last Wed. the HOLY SPIRIT through Mike and Lisa Mooradian led an action packed night of forgiveness and inner healing. They used a method taught by Dennis and Jennifer Clark. When there’s unforgiveness in your heart, the Lord will reveal to you who or what that is, “if you ask him.” We know that rivers of living water should flow from out of our stomachs, how ever there is sometimes something blocking that from happening. We can tell if you place your hand on your stomach and don’t feel peace, there’s maybe something that the Lord wants you to deal with. Many were healed from forgiveness issues and many set free. We’ll be continuing in this walk of freedom through the next couple of Wed. nights.

Saturday’s celebration was blessed once again though having Zee with us again for worship. She definitely has an anointing from the Lord to bring in HIS presence. Thank you Zee. As we broke bread and drank the new wine (grape juice), we shared communion and remembered what Jesus did for us. This was a very moving and powerful time with the Lord.

The message was from James 1:26-“If any one among you thinks that he (or she) is religious, and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this ones religion is useless.” The Greek word for useless means: fruitless, futile, empty, unproductive and powerless. God wants us to bear fruit in our walk with HIM and HE gives us many promises if we follow HIM. Ps.34:11-17 shows us that the fear of the Lord (which is the beginning of wisdom. Pr.1:7)” can be taught through watching what we say.

To summarize; if you keep your tongue from speaking evil or deceit, there are some of the benefits. IE; Life and many good days, peace, the eyes of the Lord watch out for us, HIS ears are open to our cries and HE hears, he fights our battles and delivers us from trouble. This is pretty good incentive for me to watch what comes out of my mouth. Jesus said that the issues of the heart are what come out of the mouth, and that’s what causes us to stumble. (Matt. 15:18) If we continually search our hearts and ask the Jesus to reveal those issues to us we will bear fruit and not stumble.

Thank you all for your love and support. We are looking forward to seeing you this Wed. night at 7PM. Please call Teresa (508-736-6463) by 6PM. if you would like pizza. Also feel free to bring munchies of any kind for a time of fellowship afterwards. Words cannot express how much we love you and appreciate you.

Love, Lee and Teresa

I praise the Lord for this heat. I know it sounds funny , but , the bible says 1Th 5:16 Rejoice evermore. 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.1Th 5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. I noticed that when I stopped complaining about the weather, it didn't bother me any more. HOT or COLD. Thank you Lord, all is as it should be hot in the summer, cold in the winter. I felt like this is for some one today. maybe you. Just thank HIM. and you'll change,

Last night we had a great time with Jesus. Worshipping Him in song and giving thanks for our salvation was wonderful.  Mike Morradian did a great job opening up our minds to a teaching on forgiveness. WOW IT was GREAT !! There is so much in God's word about forgiveness.
What for, how often, why, what are the benefits, when, what are the symptoms of unforgiveness, the results and much more. I'm so glad we're going to be continuing in that study next Wed. as the Lord leads.

This Saturday, July 10, we'll be celebrating the Lord with a message on relationships wrapping it up with a marriage celebration!! Yes that's right! Our first Indian Lake Community Church wedding!!  Tim and Maggie O'Rourke were married 30 years ago July 12 They are going to renew their vows and enter into a covenant relationship in their marriage with the Lord.  Please come  !! There will be food and  more celebrating afterwards.

We are looking forward to seeing each of you this Saturday.. And next Wed. If you are coming Wed. and would like pizza for dinner, call Teresa  @ 508-736-6463 by 6:pm that day and we'll make sure there's enough for you.  There's also a 5$ donation for pizza and feel free to bring a munchie or snack any time we gather for there's always fellowship and coffee afterwards.

We Love you and appreciate you so much,

Be Blessed,
Lee and Teresa DeMatos

A Note from Pastor Lee: 6-24-10

Good day to all,

I pray that all of you are well, blessed, deeply loved and highly favored by our LORD JESUS on this fine summer day!! Last night we had the pleasure of having Bob and Lisa Benoit teaching us about hearing God through worship. This was really a 2 part teaching : 1 the biblical side of music and  musicians with the results of worshiping God through music & 2 a practical application part where as we played some instruments before the Lord and allowed ourselves to hear in the Spirit what the Lord was saying.

Many people had heard from the Lord similar themes or really person words. One person had heard a message for a person with a silver car and the person with the silver car was with us at church for the first time. That message was a real comfort and conformation to a major  very resent decision in her
career life.WOW God is so cool. There were many other confirming words as well as intertwined visions. Thank you Bob and Lisa for sharing your gifts with us and we look forward to hearing from you again. Must importantly thank YOU LORD for showing up and speaking to YOUR children!!  ( That's us)

Please be praying about an up coming out reach to the neighbor hood. The purpose is to welcome our neighbors to the Church and to get to know us. We'll do this by: serving food, simple fun & games for the kiddos and having live music,(As compared to dead music)(Ha Ha.) We would like to invite them
over for a "Get to know us open house barb-b-q".  Cool things are on the horizon from the LORD and your prayers matter.

There's still some projects around the church that need to be done. I would really appreciate your help when you get a chance: Dock repair, ceiling painting, outside landscaping. are a few. Please Email me or call if
you have some time so that we could finish up these few projects.

We look forward to seeing you Sat. nights at 6:00Pm for service and Wed. nights at 7:00 pm for bible study. Please call Teresa ahead for pizza.(508-736-6463) The order goes in around 6:00 on Wed. so call by then. There is a 5$ donation for the food . Also feel free to bring snacks to share for after bible study and service.

We Love you, see you soon,
Lee & Teresa DeMatos

A Note from Pastor Lee: 6-19-10
Happy Fathers Day,
Good Morning to every one !  I’m not sure if you’re getting tired of me saying what a great time we had with God on Saturday night, none the less, WE HAD A GREAT TIME WITH GOD!!

I’m so grateful for HIS presence all the time. It started with an early time of practice with Mike, Jess and I. Jessica’s voice rang through so beautifully during practice. WOW. Then during the second to the last song of service, out of the corner of my eye, I saw some thing (some one) walk by me. There wasn’t really room for any one to walk by, but I saw what I saw. After a time of prayer, I asked if anyone else saw it or anything. Jamie Dillon and her daughter Hailey had heard or sensed some one walk by them and out the door. She even sent Mike outside to see what it was and no one was there. We had an Angelic visitation during our celebration service.  YAH HOO!   Mike and Lisa Mooradian immediately had Psalm 148 that tell us HE made a decree that every thing would praise HIM! The Angels and all the Hosts praise HIM in the heights. He has exalted the horn (strength or dominion) of HIS people. As we praise HIM, we are near to HIM and all of HIS Heavenly Host!! We should expect the Lord and the Host of Heaven to be in our presence while we worship Him.

The message was from the book of James.1:6-8
“But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, being driven by wind and being tossed; for do not let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways.”
References also to-(LK. 11:9-13, Mt. 14:27-31, Num.13:1-14:11)

The word of God showed us that Faith in all that HE is enough to accomplish any thing. Fear and doubt not only cancel faith but Num.14:11 states that when we don’t believe God, we reject HIM.      We had a testimony about letting fear and doubt getting us totally out of control and another one of asking and waiting on the Lord and HE answered, fully. We took some time to cast out the spirit of fear in Jesus name from one another and receive faith in its place. We also took some time to pray for individual’s needs on a more personal level. The presence of the Lord was so powerful and amazing as people were set free and filled with the Holy Spirit.

I thank you Lord for YOUR Presence and Power among us.
HAPPY FATHERS DAY LORD !!

Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you this Wed. at 7:00 PM, and Saturday at 6:00 Pm. If you’d like to come for dinner Wed, please call Teresa before 6pm (508-736-6463) and come early (6:30) for pizza and fellowship. (There is a $5.00 donation for the food) Please feel free to bring munchies or a desert for some fellowship time afterwards both days.

We Love you,

Lee & Teresa DeMatos

Hello Friends in Christ,
How are you? I am great because God the Father is seated on high “for with God nothing is impossible”( Lk 1:37) That gives me great hope for today and our future…

Saturday night was wonderful … again, the Lord’s presence was there and we had an awesome time. We met some new people and they were touched by God’s Word. We talked about James chapter one when different trials come our way, and how to handle them.                         The book of James helps us walk through those trials telling us to count it all joy when we fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience, and that patience has a purpose in our lives. It says that we would be prefect, or mature, lacking nothing. God wants us to have the tools to walk out this life as Christian, and to bear fruit for Him. So God is less interested in your trial, than He is in how you handle that trial.

We are looking forward to a great time together on Wed. learning about conflict resolution and Saturday tying it together with more from the book of James. Very cool real life application stuff. Next Wed. we have a special guest speaker, teaching us about hearing God during worship.

Teresa and I look forward to seeing each of you this Wed. at 7:00 PM, and Saturday at 6:00 Pm .

YA HOO, Praise the Lord!!!

Good day my Friends,
Blessings to all my friends in Christ on this wonderful day that the Lord has made!!  I am already rejoicing and will be glad. I just spilled a hot cup of tea, boiling, 30 seconds off the stove, all over my left arm.  I began to rejoice in the Lord and he has already relieved the pain and the redness is leaving. Thank You JESUS. Wed. night was out standing. We again are still seeing new faces.
We begin by offering up to the Lord, praises by way of singing to HIM. I must tell you, there is something that is happening when we do that. HE shows up. The presence of the Lord is definitely there. Before service, Taylor hurt her ankle and asked to go to the doctor. Her sister Hailey, responded, “You don’t need a doctor, just wait til we go to bible study.” She came, we prayed, and she felt much better!!  She went from limping, to running around with her friends. Did you see the article in Sunday’s Paper?   WOW !!  FRONT PAGE!!  God sure has a plan. The Dillons were very brave sharing their heart for the story. We really need to cover them with your prayers during this time. Mike Dillon’s father Jim is still in the hospital..... BUT GOD!!! Let’s pray for his recovery, and for him to find Jesus. AMEN. As I’m writing this, there is a dove sitting on my window sill right next to me looking in. Wow Lord, YOU are amazing! Looking forward to seeing you all Wed. this week. Remember, there’s a lot to do in a short time so please come early, and give us a call if you would like pizza, we usually order around 5:30pm on Wed.   We Love You!  Lee & Teresa DeMatos

How is every one?
Last Wed. Night was out standing as usual. We had a few new faces and some familiar ones as well. We started out with a great time singing to the Lord, followed with our small group discussions on HEARING  GOD 30 WAYS , chapter 3.

Chapter 1 taught us some ways to tune in to Gods voice: Prayer, quiet time, worship, the bible, and hearing the word preached.

Chapter 2 let us know that there are several voices we hear. Our own, other peoples, the devil, and must importantly God’s voice. We can eliminate our own by recognizing our own desires mixed in. Other peoples because it has their desires and motives mixed in. The devils voice is set in fear not faith so that we can take authority over it by “casting that imagination down in JESUS name!!”  2 cor 10: 4 & 5 ( Practice that one out loud)

Chapter 3 takes directly to the Bible as a direct source for hearing from God with great and actual examples. The Lord has been also meeting us in extreme financial ways.Thank you for hearing from the Lord and for your obedience.  Thank you also for all who have given abundantly and faithfully of your time and recourses. I , We , couldn’t do it with out you!!  We are looking forward t seeing you all this week. Check the Worcester Telegram this Sunday for the story on our church.    We are looking forward to seeing you all this week. Remember, there’s a lot to do in a short time so please come early to fellowship as we’ll be starting promptly at 7:00 PM. If you want pizza call Teresa before 5:30 pm Wed.(508-736-6463)

Good day my Friends,
We had a great time this week in our Wed night meeting and study of Hearing God. There were some cool testimonies (God Stories) about how people heard from God this week.
There was this guy I met Mon. night this week that asked me several questions about religion and God. He said that he didn’t really know where to even begin this whole religion thing. I told him that he just did. The moment you begin searching for God, it starts. The next day at his job of demolition, He came across some thing that he hadn’t ever seen in 25 years of demo work, a brick with the word “PRAY” stamped into one side of it. When he saw this, it really touched his heart. When he went back a second time to the job site to gather the brick and the first one he picked up broke in his hand between the P and the RAY. That’s his name. Do you think God was speaking to this guy or what? “PRAY”  “RAY”.
God so wants to speak to us. HE just needs us to have an open heart to hear HIM and to speak to HIM as well.

Thank you all so much for your participation this week. The “at –a-boy” award goes out to Rick LeBeouf who came to church right from the lob site in his Mack truck.
Please let’s keep Mike Dillon’s dad, Jim Dillon, in our prayers as he’s going through some tough physical trials.
We are looking forward to seeing you all this week. Remember, there’s a lot to do in a short time so please come early to fellowship and eat, and call ahead if you want pizza. (Teresa-508-736-6463) We’ll be starting promptly at 7:00 PM.

Good day my Friends,
First of all praise the Lord !!!  What a great night Wed. Please forgive me for not getting back to you sooner as I’ve been under the weather and hearing from the Lord the whole time. We started a new study on a book written by Larry Kreider called Hearing God 30 Ways. We began with a time of singing to the Lord, prayer, and breaking up into four groups. Each group seemed to really enjoy the teaching and as usual the participation was great. The group leaders were: Teresa Dematos, Mike & Lisa Mooradian, and myself.
Chapter one focused on tuning in to God’s voice. It seams like the first thing you would need to do is figure out how to tune in to Him if you are going to hear from Him. Some brief highlights are; Larry’s own personal experiences, placing yourself in position to hear, and recognizing whose voice your hearing. We are making adjustments as we go along but every one really loved it. We’re continuing this week with Chapter 2 titled “Hearing the right voice”. If you have the book at home, try to read this Chapter before Weds. We are looking forward to seeing you all this week. Remember,  there’s lot’s to do in a short time so please come early to fellowship and eat, and call ahead if you want pizza. (Teresa-508-736-6463) We’ll be starting promptly at 7:00 PM.

Good day my Friends, What a time we had Wed. night at ILCC. (Indian Lake Community Church) There was a wonderful presence of the Lord as we sang to HIM in worship and prayer. We watched part 2 of a movie about Arthur Blessitt, an evangelist that carried a 12’ cross around the world on foot 1 ½ times. The story told of the rough times as well the great times. Through each time however, the Lords protection, provision, and direction was evident in this amazing man’s journey. There was one thing that seamed to stand out to me. Arthur said” The most important thing that you can do for God is the next thing that HE tells you.”

That’s quite a challenge for each of us. I challenge each of you to do the next thing that the Lord tells you. When He tells you, and you do it, Email me @ LeeFireofGod@gmail.com  because I really want to hear all that the Lord is doing in your life. There are so many other testimonies that the Lord is doing in each of your lives, please, please, please email them to us at islandchurchinfo@gmail.com. ... so that they can be shared.

I have a whole letter to share on last week’s DOVE international leadership conference in MD. that I’ll share soon. Thank you soooo much for praying for Teresa and myself as we could really feel the anointing of the Lord on the whole trip.  Thank you for being such an important part of our lives

We Love you, Lee & Teresa DeMatos

P.S. Next week we would like to start on a new series called "Hearing the Lord 30 Different Ways". This is a great book by Larry Krieder, with awesome scripture references and personal stories. If you did not get a book this week, we will have more next week. The books are $10,  if you cannot afford this  cost, please see Lee or Teresa and let them know. We will be covering a chapter a week, and working in small groups. This is a great bible Study Series to invite friends to, ..we all know there is a voice inside of us that just may be HIM!

YAHOO!!  What a great time at Wed. Night Island Church. We’ve been getting together every Wednesday since August 12, 2009, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We generally start our time together with worshiping the Lord in song. I personally had a difficult time entering into HIS presence this week during the time of worship.  However, as we just were still before HIM, He spoke to us through Joe Joe Williams. The Lord said that we should worship Him not for the material things that HE’S done, but for who he is. HE IS GOD!! We thank HIM for all the things, provision and protection and forget to thank HIM for HIM. That really spoke to me as we were still before the LORD for the first time in a while, not talking or praying. It’s amazing what you can hear from our Savior when we listen.

We have been studying Mathew 6:24-34. Several people had a chance to share what the Lord had spoken to them last week from this portion of the WORD. I was blown away as people shared. What amazing insight and revelation the Lord gave to us. It was off the charts COOL!!
I most love the personal experiences that many shared concerning life changing events concerning: worry, fear, finances, priorities and putting God first before everything. I’m richly blessed by all of you. Thank you for seeking God in your lives!!   I’m so proud of you!!
I Love You, Pastor Lee DeMatos

P.S.: Next week  - Wed March 24, 2010
Matthew 7:1-6  or Matthew 7:7-12
Spend some time with either of these scriptures, and bring your thoughts on Wed. Please don’t be hindered because we only have up to 2 or 3 minutes to share what the Lord has spoken to us. If the Lord has given you much more revelation to share, please I would love to here it privately. So write it down or we can set up a time and get it to me and we can discuss it. Great!

WOW!!  All I can say is “WOW”!! And thank you Lord!!! It was great to be in the presence of the Lord on Wed. night. The amazing part was our location. Here we were @ one of the most notoriously known bars in Worcester County and we were singing to the Lord and praying. Last summer I was there at the Charter Club other wise known as Colebrook’s Cove , on a Saturday afternoon and couldn’t picture what I experienced last night. God’s presence was there and when we opened the doors, to soak the neighborhood with the songs to the Lord, a couple of drunks wandered in. I really see that as a sign that there will be many more lost and hurting people coming in. Thank you Island church members , prayer warriors and friends for your faithful support of this outreach to the children of God in Worcester. Bless you all and thank you, Dillon’s, O’Rourke’s, Sean, Scott, (great guitar playing & I heard you singing),  LeBouef’s, Urbina’s, Pepin’s, Benoit’s, Angel’s , Ford’s, Handley’s, and all who came and prayed for God’s favor on this new church. I love you all and appreciate you so much. Be blessed by the Lord and I’ll see you next week.
